FT Enclosures for Telecommunication Systems

Fibox has developed a range of fibre termination (FT) enclosures for next-generation telecommunication systems. Fibox cabinets and enclosures are designed to meet the fibre management, fibre storing and fibre splicing needs of fibre-to-the-premises/home (FTTP/H) networks. The new range is designed to support both customer premises and network access points. The Fibox fibre termination box (FTB) is made from high-quality materials that are fully RoHS compliant and IP54 rated for ingress protection, hold excellent flammability ratings and are completely halogen free.

The enclosures also come with a small size and a snap-lock cover design, minimising installation costs. To complete the series is the Fibox fibre distribution enclosure (FDE), which is specifically designed as a fibre management enclosure, designed for multi-dwelling units and small and medium-sized enterprises. There are two enclosure sizes in the range; the smaller version supports up to 24 fibre connections and the larger size supports up to 48 fibre connections.

The splice tray and fibre management design are claimed to make installation quick and straightforward. The Fibox FDE wall-mounting enclosures can be used both indoors and outdoors. The FDEs are designed to meet both installation and end-user needs. The plug-and-play feature reduces the installation time and eliminates the need for extra tools, while the stylish design makes the system easy on the eye for visible locations, according to the company.
