Cosaf Wins Contract to Redevelop HVAC Systems
Industry HVAC company Cosaf has won a competitive contract to redevelop West Mercia Supplies HVAC provision. Integrating each of its contrasting services into one turnkey solution, Cosaf was commissioned to design, supply and install air conditioning, Breezair and heating services to facilitate a new mezzanine area of the business. Having expanded its office space, Shrewsbury-based West Mercia Supplies was looking to enhance and upgrade its current HVAC systems. Cosaf won the contract to service the three-storey office, warehouse and new mezzanine area.
The refurbishment of the site's air conditioning involved 19 of the existing units having to be removed from across the three-storey building and replaced with Daikin VRV air-conditioning systems that allowed for a capacity of 180m2 of office space. To provide sufficient cooling directly to the mezzanine area, Cosaf recommended the installation of its Breezair system, which provides energy-efficient temperature relief for large industrial spaces, factories and warehouses. In order to effectively cool the warm mezzanine area, Cosaf recommended the installation of six evaporative cooling units to direct fresh, ambient cooled air to the production area.
In addition, an extraction system was added to work in conjunction with the Breezair. To facilitate the mezzanine floor, Cosaf also installed and repositioned two gas-fired heaters in order to improve air-distribution and energy-efficiency rates for the company surroundings. Cosaf worked in conjunction with West Mercia and its building team to ensure all installation work complied with relevant standards.
