RS-Marker® PowerLine Laser Marking Systems

The world-class laser markers pioneered by Rofin offer high-performance, low-maintenance lamp- or diode-pumped solid-date lasers, fiber lasers, and a 30W CO2 laser version. In addition to a host of standard features, these systems have advantageous options including fiber optic beam delivery, and twin and double marking-head technology. They come standard with the Windows®-based Visual Laser Marker (VLM) software for full control of the marking process.

Diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers in powers ranging from 10–100 watts, single or multimode configurations, 1064nm or 532nm wavelengths, and optional fiber optic beam delivery to separate marking head from laser source.

Diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 air-cooled lasers, powers of 10 and 25 watts at 1064 nm wavelength, single and double-pump configurations.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved. However, if sizing at this level prevents the motor from starting, it may then be necessary to increase the fuse ampere rating and it then becomes important to know the NEC sizing limitations.
