Han® RJ45 Module for High Transmission Rates up to 10 Gbit/s

The Cat. 6 Ethernet module for the Han-Modular® series from HARTING is now satisfying the demand for faster transmission rates.

A new Cat. 6 Ethernet module is available for the HARTING Han-Modular® series that satisfies the demands for ever higher transmission rates. The Han-Modular® open connector system allows you to put your connector together to suit your needs. More than 40 different modules are available for electric, optical and pneumatic transmission.

The previous RJ45 Ethernet module has now been enhanced to allow it to transmit data rates up to 10 Gbit/s. A further feature is a very high level of mechanical stability, which is suitable for applications with high mechanical demands. The module is executed as a gender changer on the socket side so that inserting a commercially available RJ45 patch cable is all that is needed to make the connection. Two Cat. 6 solutions are available on the male connector: A field-installable version with RJ Industrial and a module that is capable of accommodating corresponding HARTING patch cables.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
