SynQor Introduces a New Line of Advanced Technology Military-Grade UPS Units

SynQor, Inc., announces a new line of Military-Grade Uninterruptible Power Supply units that are designed for the extreme environmental and demanding electrical conditions of Military/Aerospace applications.  SynQor's UPS incorporates field proven high efficiency designs and rugged packaging technologies.  This UPS will accept a wide range of input voltage and frequency values while delivering a well-conditioned AC output to the load.  Its use of lithium polymer batteries permits the lowest profile and lowest weight solution in its power class.  It is designed and manufactured in SynQor's USA facilities to comply with a wide range of military standards.  Options include a DC output and the ability to also draw power from a military standard 28VDC input.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
