Klein Tools Expands Line of Electrical Testers

Klein Tools' new NCVT-2 is a dual-range non-contact voltage tester that automatically indicates low voltage (12-48V AC) and standard voltage (48-1000V AC). It is a convenient, compact tool that helps users work more accurately and faster.

"This product is unique since it automatically measures high and low-voltage and confirms it through different indicator lights and different sounds right from the tester," said Chris Niklas, Product Manager, Klein Tools. "Users save time since the NCVT-2 does this automatically and doesn't need any adjustments to detect low and standard voltages."

The NCVT-2 provides non-contact detection of low-voltage in security, entertainment, communications, environmental control (HVAC), irrigation and lighting systems. It also provides non-contact detection of standard voltage in cables, cords, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, switches, outlets and wires.

"Professionals that will gain the most benefits from the NCVT-2 include electricians, HVAC technicians and communication technicians," continued Niklas.

A high-intensity, bright green LED indicates the tester is operational and aids in illuminating workspaces. An auto power-off feature conserves and extends battery life. Overall, this product's CAT IV 1000V rating provides expanded operation and protection for various uses.

The NCVT-2 strengthens Klein's extensive Test & Measurement product line, which also includes professional multimeters, clamp meters and accessories.
