New D-Sub Filter Connector - Adapter FD A **

Fischer Elektronik is delighted to announce that a new version of the D-Sub filter connector in the form of an adapter is now available to our customers. This new product has a capacity of 1000pF. The precision contacts are turned. At ambient temperature, they achieve a power rating of 5A per contact. The male thread on the fastening bolt is available in both M3 and UNC 4-40. The fastening bolt can be mounted on both ends, i.e. also inversely, and is captivated. In grade 2, the turned precision contacts are gilded. This adapter is available with 9, 15, 25 and 37 poles.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
