Kinatechnics System 1 Series Workbenches Combine Modularity and Utility

IAC Industries, best known for their premium Dimension 4 Modular Workstations, brings that modularity concept to a more economical workbench line named Kinetechnics System 1. As Matt McConnell, IAC’s Director of Sales and Marketing, explains, “Kinatechnics means ‘Motion Techniques’ and the design philosophy of superior ergonomics is inherent in all IAC workstations and workbenches. Kinatechnics System 1 features simple assembly, easy expandability and convenient adjustability, making them a natural addition to our product line.”

Kinatechnics System 1 workbenches feature unique “H-leg” support and integrated, slotted upper structure for shelves, lighting and productivity accessories. Modular by design, they are available as stand-alone “Starter” units, or configured as “Add-On” units in both single- and double-sided models. A series of Add-On benches may be connected to a Starter bench to form a production line of any length.

The Kinatechnics “H-leg” configuration provides strength and stability; a transverse beam connecting the leg assemblies provides worksurface support. Legs and beam are manufactured from 12 gauge cold-rolled steel and finished in durable powder coat paint. Worksurfaces are 1-1/4”-thick high-density particle board, laminated with high-pressure plastic laminate. Standard worksurface height is 30”; optional leg extensions allow height adjustment from 30” to 36”, in 3” increments. Bench lengths are 48”, 60” or 72”, with accessory lengths to match. Kinatechnics Systems 1 benches are also available configured with slide rails for assembly production lines.

Much of the Kinatechnics’ popularity stems from its integrated, zinc-plated upper structures. These two vertical, square-channel posts are slotted at 2-inch increments to simplify the addition of “off-the-worksurface” accessories. Accessories include metal and wire shelving, lighting, tool trolley, and swing-arm platforms. An electrical channel option places up to 10 outlets at the back of the worksurface. Bin rails and a large selection of bin rail accessories are also available to enhance productivity.
