MIRO GSM - Global Diagnostics via Text Message

Control and maintain machines and installations around the world and around the clock with your mobile phone! Now you can with MIRO GSM: Murrelektronik’s new control cabinet component communicates with the plant operators via text message. It provides current machine operating conditions with a short message. And the operator can control the outputs via text message!

A SIM card is inserted into the MIRO GSM enabling communication with the cellular network. Six inputs can be connected per device (e.g. switches or sensors) and the limits are defined with a configuration software. If the set values are reached, MIRO GSM will automatically send a text message with a predefined text. For each input, you decide if text message is sent to one or several recipients. It is also possible to have active responses: you send a text message to MIRO GSM and the module will answer the text message, for example, by giving the current operating temperature of a machine.

Remote Control of Outputs - Via Text Message

If needed, the plant operator can switch four relay outputs with a text message over this communication interface.

Some functions:
  •     Shut down a machine
  •     Switch on an air handling unit - via text message
  •     Switch on light
  •     Report critical temperatures
  •     Inquire about current liquid level
  •     Monitor voltage drops for 24 hours
What if I don't get the text message?

MIRO GSM features an acknowledgement function. If a plant operator doesn't confirm the receipt of a text message in a certain time, the message is sent to a second recipient and if necessary, also to additional recipients. The module will continue sending the texts until the receipt is acknowledged. The order of the recipients and the time frame can be freely defined.
