Digia Extends Qt Commercial Primary Platform Support to Include Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY RTOS

Green Hills Software, the largest independent vendor of embedded software solutions, and Digia, Qt Commercial, the pioneer in the commercial development, licensing, support and services of Qt for desktop and embedded development, today announced broad market availability and primary platform support for the latest Qt Commercial development framework solutions on Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY® real-time operating system (RTOS). This support enables easy access to the latest in Qt Commercial releases, validated and tested with the industry's leading safe and secure real-time operating system, INTEGRITY, resulting in reduced time-to-market, development cost, and support burden for graphics application and UI development.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
