MIPAC Shares Skills at BP Cogeneration Plant

The Bulwer Island Energy Partnership has commissioned MIPAC to provide instrumentation supervision services at the BIEP Cogeneration Plant near Brisbane airport.

During a three-week scheduled plant shutdown at the end of March, MIPAC supervised BP Refinery Instrument Technicians in carrying out maintenance and calibration of field instruments and actuators associated with the cogeneration plant (boilers and turbines).

“BIEP has fairly involved and detailed procedures for maintenance and calibration, including reporting requirements,” MIPAC managing director Eddie DeRivera says.

“Our experienced engineer George Wood has led this project and is ideally placed for this supervisory role.
“We look forward to building on our new relationship with BIEP.”
