Hamamatsu Develops New Large-Area Flat Panel Sensors for Dental X-ray Imaging, Based on Advanced Amorphous Silicon Technology
Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has developed two new large-area X-ray flat panel sensors based on its advanced amorphous silicon technology.
The new flat panel sensors are intended for applications in dental X-ray imaging, and are available in two active area sizes: 16 cm x 16 cm (part number C11700CK), and 27 cm x 22 cm (C11701CK). In addition to their large imaging areas, the new flat panel sensors provide the benefits of high speed, high sensitivity, and high resolution. From June 30, samples of these new products will be available to Japan and international manufacturers of dental imaging equipment. Mass production is scheduled to begin in September.
