Total Frequency Control Limited announce the release of the innovative GPS disciplined OCXO module manufactured by RFX

Total Frequency Control Limited, have released the latest precision GPS controlled OCXO additional to their line of OCXO, TCXO and VCXO products.

The PT626 - 1000 - GPS has been designed to ensure extreme accuracy derived from satellite GPS control and the inherent accuracy of its internal precision OCXO. Frequency correction signals are applied to the internal OCXO providing accuracy approaching 10-12, one thousandth part per billion, and rivaling a Caesium standard at a fraction of the cost.

Managing Director Edward Mills says: "This is a huge achievement in the development of GPS stabilisation for precision quartz oscillators and puts RFX at the forefront of this important sector. The miniature size of the unit makes it attractive for all new OEM designs and the obvious replacement for many base station oscillators where the improved accuracy will enhance functionality and performance."

This product has been designed for use in Base Stations, Wireless Networks, System Synchronisation systems, Instrumentation, Critical timing and Calibration applications.

In the event of the GPS signal being temporarily lost the PT626 - 1000 - GPS retains it previously acquired control settings and accuracy through the internal precision OCXO.

Specific features include:
  • Package: (2.25 x 1.5 x 0.5)"
  • 1pps LVCMOS: output 1
  • r.f. Sine wave 10.0MHz: output 2
  • Long term stability 1 x 10-12
  • Short term stability 1 x 10-11
  • Excellent phase noise
  • Low ageing
RFX manufacture a complete range of precision oscillators from 1MHz to 2.4GHz including TCXO, VCXO, PLL and GPS modules.
