Laird Technologies CL400 Wireless Ethernet Bridge Starter Packs Now Available for Distribution
Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced that its CL400 Wireless Ethernet Bridge starter packs are now available for distribution.
Optimized for point-to-point bridge connections, the CL400 starter packs include two CL400 units, a standard RJ-45 Ethernet jack, two 2.4 MHz omnidirectional antennas with 5 dBi gain, and an AC power adapter.
The easy-to-use CL400 Wireless Ethernet Bridge provides outstanding data throughput and security for wireless applications in the M2M and industrial market segments with no configuration necessary. Users can simply plug in their Ethernet cable to apply power and have a wireless bridge at a distance up to one mile and speeds up to 11 Mbps, thereby extending the range of networks beyond the reach of traditional 802.11 access points.
Pre-configured to communicate over a WPA2-AES encrypted secure 802.11 RF channel, the CL400 can optimize link speeds according to the RF conditions and distances between the units. Encased in a field proven hardened metal enclosure and capable of operating over temperatures -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to 158°F), it can be stored at temperatures of -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F). It is also FCC/IC certified.
“The CL400 is an easy-to-use, out-of-the-box wireless Ethernet link with no configuration necessary, and offers excellent throughput and security to extend wired Ethernet networks,” said Chris Downey, Laird Technologies Product Manager, Telematics & Wireless M2M. “Offering higher throughput and priced lower than similar offerings, the CL400 Wireless Ethernet Bridge starter packs are now available for direct purchasing through Laird Technologies distributors.”
Laird Technologies is active in the wireless M2M market, offering the widest range of high-performance wireless modules utilizing Bluetooth® technology, as well as integrated antennas and electronic components. The company’s broad selection of M2M products provides solutions for the automotive, telematics, healthcare, EPOS, retail, finance, and security, as well as asset management markets.
