AVX releases new series of GL broadband Inductors

The GL Series was developed specifically to deliver repeatable and reliable ultra broad band performance up through 40GHz. The pyramid shape of the GL series provides for maximum inductance in the space available.

The GL Series of inductors offers ultra-low insertion loss. Featuring a pyramid shape and rugged powdered iron core, the GL Series broadband inductor provides ultra-low insertion loss, excellent return loss and flat frequency response.

The GL Series is ideal for high-speed data communication, optical receiver sub-assembly, transimpedance amplifiers and high-frequency test equipment manufacturers.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved. However, if sizing at this level prevents the motor from starting, it may then be necessary to increase the fuse ampere rating and it then becomes important to know the NEC sizing limitations. Model QLS Quad Loop Splitter Splits One 4-20 mA Current Loop into 4 Independent Loops

Model QLS Quad Output Loop Splitter / Retransmittersources up to four (4) independently adjustable 4-20 mA outputs from a single input, which can be 4-20 mA, 1-5V, 0-5V or 0-10V, as selected by jumpers. The outputs can share a common ground. The input and outputs are mutually isolated to ±10V by means of active circuitry to accommodate differences in local grounds with normal industrial grounding practices. If any device in an output loop is removed from a loop or fails, or if a wiring fault occurs, the other loops continue to operate properly. Each loop only drives a single load, avoiding compliance problems.
