New Low-Cost Draw-Wire Sensor MK88
The latest addition to the low-cost series wireSENSOR MK88 offers a measuring range of up to 5m and supplements therefore the range of draw-wire sensors. During the construction, the main focus has been on the dimensions, therefore the MK88 with only 88mm edge length is the smallest sensor amongst the 5m class on the market. This opens up many constructive possibilities for the user. The sensor can either be installed requiring hardly any space or integrated easily to existing systems.
The MK88 is ideally suited for mobile application such as systems of mobile cranes, mobile working platforms or fire-fighting vehicles due to its compact design as well as its robust housing which is glass fibre reinforced. The protection class IP65 and the temperature resistance from -20 to +80°C (upon request -40°C) is ideally suited for such outdoor application.
The draw-wire sensor is available in the measuring ranges 2300mm, 3500mm and 5000mm in combination with potentiometric outputs (1KOhm, current (4-20mA) or voltage output (0-10V). The MK88 is also available as mechanics for the encoder installation in serial applications. The combination of dimensions, measuring range, robust design and price-ratio makes the MK88 unique.
