Confocal Measurement of Dental Components

Confocal sensor optoNCDT 2401 are applied in the measuring machine KF-30 of Certiga in order to create surface topographies of different objects. The focus was on a precise and non-contact method.

The machine is for example applied in dental research for the measurement of the chewing surface of dental implants in order to analyse abrasions. In this machines up to 8 partitions can be pre-defined being scanned at a later point of time. Besides for dental components, the system is used for paper, rubber, fleece, glass or metal.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
