Honeywell Security Group Wins ChannelWorld’s MVP Gold Award

Honeywell Security Group was awarded Most Valued Principal (MVP) - Gold Award in the IP Surveillance category for 2011-2012 in a survey conducted by ChannelWorld Magazine. Vikas Chadha, Regional Director, South Asia accepted the award on behalf of Honeywell Security Group from ChannelWorld’s Editor-in-Chief Vijay Ramchandran at the company’s office in Gurgaon, India.

Honeywell received the highest scores in three parameters - marketing assistance, customer support, and financial terms - and was a close second in the other three - technology solutions, training and certification, and management styles. A total of 437 partner organizations participated in the ChannelWorld Most Valued Principal online survey, rating as many as 85 vendors across 14 technology categories. Honeywell was awarded bronze certificate the previous year.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
