Excelitas Technologies Announces Expansion of Miamisburg, Ohio Facility to Meet Increased Demand for Energetic Safety Systems

Excelitas Technologies, a global provider of innovative, customized optoelectronics and advanced electronic systems to OEMs seeking high-performance technology solutions, today announced that on June 5, 2012 the Montgomery County, Ohio Board of Commissioners approved a $300,000 grant from the Economic Development/Government Equity (ED/GE) Program to be used towards the expansion of Excelitas’ ISO 9001-certified Miamisburg, Ohio facility.

Excelitas is a leader in the design, manufacture and test of Energetic Safety Systems for a variety of high- performance applications including precision munitions, tactical missiles, launch vehicles, and strategic missiles. Excelitas’ energetic safety products are designed using the latest advances in technology to develop smaller, lighter, smarter, and more cost-effective devices. The Company has partnered with the leading defense and aerospace OEMs for over 60 years in designing, qualifying and manufacturing advanced technology components and subsystems for a range of smart systems that safeguard lives.

The Miamisburg facility capacity expansion project is expected to create additional jobs for the local community and will be completed by the end of 2012.
