STANDEX-MEDER PRODUCTS RANKED AMONG 101 MOST POPULAR BY ELECTRONIC DESIGN MAGAZINE

Standex-Meder Electronics, a manufacturer of standard and custom electro-magnetic components, including magnetics products and reed switch-based solutions, is pleased to announce that three of their products were included on Electronic Design’s annual Top 101 Components list.  The list is comprised of the 101 components that readers found most interesting over the year, based on page views and a reader vote for favorite components. Standex-Meder’s planar transformers were included at the #21 spot, with the custom-conductive fluid level sensors at #47 and MK27 magnetically activated reed sensor at #68.

Standex-Meder’s planar transformers offer superior space saving and power density properties, and along with the company’s comprehensive portfolio of magnetic components, are fueling growth for Standex-Meder in the military, aerospace, alternative energy and power distribution sectors.  The company’s custom-conductive fluid level sensors are ideal for demanding applications with high particulate loading, as they use a patented bias ring to eliminate false positives that result from material buildup on sensor elements.  The MK27 magnetically activated reed sensor comes with a corresponding magnet supplied in a robust casing, ideal for use in alarm systems, position and end position sensing, door and window control, commercial vehicles, engineering, mining, forestry, construction and agricultural machinery.

“It is exciting to see these three high-quality electronic components voted among the industry’s best,” said Christian Rogiers, Director, Global Marketing, Standex-Meder Electronics.  “Their ranking among the 101 favorite products of the readers of Electronic Design demonstrates the strength of the combined Standex and Meder product portfolio.  The combination of Meder’s reed switches, reed relays and reed sensors, coupled with Standex’s reed switch, magnetics and sensor product lines provides the combined global sales forces with a broader suite of products and technologies to address our customers’ needs.”
