Pulse Electronics' Sidewinder AC Current Sensor Presentation Now Available

Pulse Electronics Corporation (NYSE: PULS), a leading provider of electronic components, has a new presentation about its Sidewinder AC current sensors on the Pulse Electronics website at http://www.pulseelectronics.com/download/3775/G043. The Sidewinder’s highly linear output voltage over a wide dynamic range results in more accurate sensing for smart meter, distributed power generation, renewable energy, load balancing, and power monitoring applications. Along with an explanation of this breakthrough in power sensing technology, the presentation provides a comparison with shunt, current transformer, and Hall Effect technologies.

“To assist our customers, we have updated the Sidewinder presentation to provide detailed technical data and application notes on using current sensing in a smart metering circuit,” explained Glenn Roemer, field applications engineer, Pulse Electronics Power Division.

In addition to the new presentation, Pulse announced that it has been granted a trademark for its Sidewinder AC current sensors.
