Expanded ZSM Surface Mount LED Series

JKL has expanded the ZSM Surface Mount LED series.

JKL Components Corporation introduces expansion of the ZSM Series LEDs. This series is suitable for a large range of markets, but the size and optical range of the ZSM series make them an excellent fit for LCD backlighting.


The ZSM LEDs are offered in both, topview and sideview packages with profiles as low as 0.6mm and outputs as high as 13,700 mcd. The ZSM series are available on reels for automatic placement to printed circuit boards for rails in LCD lighting or rear and edge illuminated panels. PCB assemblies for backlighting can be supplied using a variety of components for color matching, brightness uniformity and performance. Submit your design needs to JKL engineering. FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
