Pickering Interfaces Introduces New High Density PXI Multiplexers
The 40-570 and 40-571 are based on the established Pickering Interfaces BRIC modules and provide a solution for applications requiring high pole count multiplexers. The modules are designed to serve applications where a single suite of test equipment is required to test a number of devices under test (DUT) sequentially. Typically these would be identical or very similar devices. Each multiplexer uses an 8 slot BRIC construction – all the multiplexer elements are interconnected within the BRIC module, greatly simplifying cabling and minimizing the effort required in connecting multiplexers together.
The 40-570 is a high density multiplexer that can be ordered in a variety of configurations extending from 6 channels of 160 poles to switching to 96 channels of 10 poles switching, allowing the module to be offered in configurations designed for sequential testing of 6 to 96 devices according to configuration. The 40-570 is rated for 1A switching and voltages up to 100V. The user connection is based on 160 pin DIN41612 connectors.
The 40-571 is a high density multiplexer with higher current rating of 3A that can be ordered in a variety of configurations extending from 6 channels of 48 poles to 48 channels of 6 poles multiplexing. The user connection is based on easy to use 50 Way D Type connectors.
Both models feature dedicated loop-thru connection, for simple expansion to larger multiplexer solutions. The 40-570 also has loop-thru isolation switches to maintain signal integrity in larger systems.
Connection to both modules is made easy through the extensive range of Pickering Interfaces connection solutions available for these modules. Both modules use high quality EMR relays that provide long and reliable service life.
