Honeywell TruStability® Board Mount Ultra-Low Pressure Sensors

Honeywell TruStability® Board Mount Ultra-Low Pressure Sensors HSC Series and SSC Series extend the TruStability® low- to mid-pressure product line originally launched in 2009. These devices make use of new Honeywell proprietary technology that combines high sensitivity with high overpressure and burst pressure that protects the sensor without sacrificing the ability to sense very small changes in pressure.

TruStability® Board Mount Ultra-Low Pressure Sensors:
  • Sense ultra-low pressures from ±2.5 mbar to ±40 mbar [±1 inH20 to ±30 inH20]
  • Offer the customer flexibility in sensor implementation and reduce design requirements for protecting the sensor without sacrificing the ability to sense very small changes in pressure
  • Provide high durability amid environmental factors such as temperature and humidity
  • Provide 15 competitive differentiators that offer solid benefits to our customers
The HSC and SSC Series are piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors offering a digital or analog output for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range. They are intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
