Mini Driver Can Be Retrofitted To Stepper Motor
Astrosyn has developed a miniature driver that can be retrofitted to a stepper motor's rear flange, freeing up space usually taken by conventional drive systems and reducing cabling. The three models in the range have maximum output currents ranging from 2A to 8A, at voltages of 35V or 40V. All measure 42.3 (L) x 42.3 (W) x 13.5mm (H).
Designed to be bolted to the rear of Nema size 17 stepper motors, the self-contained bipolar drivers have a rugged die-cast aluminium construction that provides efficient heat dissipation. Micro-stepping models are available from full stepping down to 1/16 step, and there is automatic current reduction at standstill.
