Landia Anoxic Mixers Gently Treat Activated Sludge

Landia has announced that it has completed the installation of more than 100 anoxic/selector POP-1 mixers as part of its framework agreement with Yorkshire Water Services. The single-source supply framework agreement, which was partly secured by a low-maintenance sealing system specially adapted by Landia to meet Yorkshire Water Services' requirements, has also seen the mixers meet all low-energy, reliability and anti-ragging impeller requirements.

At the company's flagship site at Esholt near Bradford, 40 Landia mixers (all with stainless steel mounting equipment) have been put into successful operation, providing gentle treatment of activated sludge in continuous applications where sedimentation in anoxic or anaerobic tanks must be prevented.
