Silicone Coating Protects Electronic Circuitry

Electrolube has launched DCA-HT, a modified silicone conformal coating that has been designed for the protection of electronic circuitry. DCA-HT is a flexible and transparent product that has been formulated to meet international approvals, including European and US defence standards. Electrolube has designed the coating to meet even the most demanding requirements, with an operating temperature range of -70 to 200C and a high resistance to most solvents, lubricants and chemicals associated with aerospace and automotive applications.

It is also highly resistant to mould growth and UV light, and can be sprayed, dipped or brushed. The cured coating meets DEF-STAN 59/47 and IPC-CC-830 standards, and is RoHS compliant (2002/95/EC). Another feature of DCA-HT is its adhesion under all climatic conditions, including high altitude, decompression, moisture and salt spray, making it suitable for a range of applications.

DCA-FD is a modified silicone conformal coating that will touch dry in 20min. Increased solid content of the DCA-FD gives 35 per cent greater coverage per litre to provide a significant waste and cost saving per substrate. Fast-Dry DCA has a wide operating temperature range and is suitable for a range of commercial and military PCB applications.
