Flir P-Series Cameras Include Wireless Technology
The Flir P-Series of infrared cameras is designed for thermographers and contain several features for effective predictive maintenance tasks and detailed analysis. The latest edition of these high-end models now include Meterlink wireless connection technology, which was first introduced in the Flir i60 and Flir T-Series cameras. Meterlink allows the Flir infrared camera to capture readings from an Extech clamp meter.
The Flir P-Series camera receives values from a Meterlink-enabled Extech meter via Bluetooth and automatically embeds these readings in the image. This allows, for example, the thermographer to correlate heat and load to make more informed maintenance decisions. It also reduces the potential for a notation error and saves time during reporting.
The Flir P-Series camera has a high thermal sensitivity of less than 30mK, contrast optimisation, built-in GPS and a wide choice of analysis tools. The camera also supports the Panorama feature, an imaging stitching tool that enables every pixel to be transferred to a composite image complete with its own radiometric data. So, regardless of the eventual image size, accurate temperature measurement is said to be assured and the enlarged image retains its jpeg format.
