Aerco Distributes Heavy-Duty Trailer Connectors
Aerco now stocks a range of heavy-duty trailer connectors by AB Connectors, which are used as an electrical coupling between military and utility vehicles and towed trailers and artillery equipment. The connector has a push-pull coupling and comprises 12 contacts that connect from the prime vehicle's 24V system to the various trailer circuits providing power for tail, reversing, stop and fog lights and other items such as illumination for registration plates.
The fixed panel mount connector is fitted to the prime mover and is available from Aerco with all the associated parts such as rear grommet and nut, panel gasket and protective cap required to build an environmentally sealed system. The free cable-mounted connectors are fitted to the towed equipment and feature a heavy, rubber-moulded body with a brass inner shell, and are supplied fitted with a cap and lanyard.
The connectors can withstand heavy shock and vibration and have an operating temperature of -55 to +100C. The AB trailer connectors and all component parts required to form a complete system are supplied from stock at Aerco with no MOQs.
