Lens for Large-Format Cameras in Radiation Areas

The Model 305 Fixed Focus Non-Browning Lens from Resolve Optics has been designed to provide high performance with large-image-format cameras and sensors used in environments subject to radiation. Measuring 30mm in diameter, the compact f2 lens delivers high image resolution and minimum geometric distortion from 400-750nm. Manufactured from cerium-doped glass or synthetic silica, the Model 305 lens is able to withstand radiation exposure of up to 53 kGy (108 rads) and temperatures up to 55C without discolouration.

To give a 40deg field of view in both the vertical and horizontal planes and 25 cycles/mm, the Model 305 lens is able to provide high optical performance for images up to 18mm in diameter. Available with a manual or motorised iris, the Model 305 provides a focus from 35mm in front of the lens to infinity. The lens meets the requirement, in nuclear vision and space research applications, for cameras to be radiation-hard and to cover a large image format.
