Load Cells Measure Static and Dynamic Force

Baumer is offering a range of load cells with passive temperature compensation for direct force measurement in the packaging industry, mechanical engineering and other industrial applications. The DLRx series features a very low temperature effect of less than 0.005 per cent/K and a very small amount of distortion. The sensors feature IP67 protection and cover measuring ranges from 0 to +/-500kN with a combined error of less than 0.1 per cent FS and repeat accuracy of less than 0.03 per cent FS.

DLRx load cells are designed for use with an extended ambient temperature range of -30C to +100C. Their compensated temperature range is -10C to +55C. Output signals can be selected from 4-20mA, +/-10 V and mv/V (passive). The sensors can be installed quickly due to their small amounts of mechanical settling and warm-up drift. All sensors of the DLRx series come calibrated.

A low-noise passive bridge amplifier with an analogue signal path and a high limit frequency of 1kHz is surface mounted to every DLRx sensor. Offering reliability and long-term stability, the sensors of the DLRx series are suitable for static and dynamic force measurement. Their range of applications includes all-electric injection moulding machines in the plastics industry and engine test stands, as well as applications in vehicle construction and cranes.
