Intellisonde to Monitor Italy Water Quality

Intellitect Water has announced two distribution partnerships with Italian companies for the Intellisonde in-pipe water quality monitors. The Intellisonde is designed to provide water companies with more efficient access to drinking water quality data and will now be distributed across municipal and industrial sectors in Italy by Ast Analytica and Bimatik.

Developed to continuously monitor in-pipe water within drinking water distribution networks, the Intellisonde is a small water quality monitor that can be inserted into pressurised pipes to monitor up to 12 parameters. The technology offers utilities the ability to monitor water quality in the many thousands of miles of pipes that carry water to industrial and domestic consumers. This reduces the cost of water treatment, improves water quality and aids the management of water distribution networks.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
