Rugged Wide-Temp DIN-Rail Fanless Embedded System with Intel® Atom™ processor Z510PT/ Z520PT, up to 6 Isolated COM for Power Utility & Transportation- rBOX101

Axiomtek announce the release of the rBOX101 series which consists of DIN-Rail fanless ruggedized embedded systems utilizing extra low power Intel® Atom™ processors Z510PT (1.1 GHz) and Z520PT (1.33 GHz) and Intel® US15WPT chipset.  Being able to withstand extreme operating temperature is not an issue for the rBOX101 series which features operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.  To comply with different application needs, the rBOX101 comes with complete expandability, including: six (6) isolated COM ports (rBOX101-6COM)/four (4) isolated COM ports (rBOX101-4COM), two (2) isolated Ethernet ports, one (1) isolated DIO (rBOX101-6COM), two (2) USB 2.0 ports, one (1) VGA output and one (1) CompactFlash™ socket for greater data communication & expansion capability.  With a compact form factor and IP30-rated housing, the robust rBOX101 DIN-Rail systems are ideal for indoor/outdoor industrial applications such as power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, intelligent transportation systems and more.

Isolated Port Design
To prevent ESD and over-voltage, these compact units are equipped with isolated RS-232/422/485 ports, isolated Ethernet ports and isolated DIO ports for magnetic isolation protection.

Safety & EMI Compliance
The IP30-rated rBOX101 meets Safety Agency requirements and have passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing to provide high operational reliability and stability.

Intelligent AXView & SNMP V1/V2c
The rBOX101 features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management.  To streamline implementation of management applications, Axiomtek has launched an exclusive “AXView” monitoring software package for customers to build their own management systems easily and quickly.  Axiomtek AXView also contains a variety of easy-to-use management utilities, agent services and libraries.

Other Features
rBOX101’s front accessible I/O cabling is convenient for wiring and maintenance.  In addition, it comes equipped with two (2) power paths and 12 - 48VDC power input with a terminal block.  Pre-installed with Linux, Windows® CE 6.0 or Windows® XP Embedded, the rBOX101 provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost.  To fit various application requirements, the rBOX101 can be DIN-Rail mounted.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
