Latches and Handles Support Cabinet Applications

Elesa's new CLT latches and handles are suitable for large standalone or suite-style cabinets with single-point closure or in conjunction with the CAR rod controls for two- or three-point locking. This spreads the gasket pull-down loads across the door, thus ensuring optimal sealing and security on control cabinets and electronic racks. The CLT latches and handles are sealable to IP65 and so are suited to most commercial/industrial cabinet applications.

The latches are available with a varied selection of locking possibilities, through many key lock number possibilities to a double-winged key type. Rod controls to complement the CLT handles are available with either 100mm or 200mm flat rods to interface with rod extensions that may be supported by black technopolymer rod guides. Handle fitment is via two off-standard 50 x 25mm rectangular punchings.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
