TE Connectivity Offers Scalable Spring Fingers for a Wide Range of Electronic Devices

TE Connectivity, formerly Tyco Electronics, offers a complete range of spring fingers, including scalable models, to provide internal connections within devices such as mobile phones, personal computers, home entertainment and industrial equipment. Suitable for use in any small PCB application, all scalable spring fingers can be mounted onto one single footprint, making it easier for the customer to swap the product when a design change is required.

The scalable spring finger’s preload function nearly doubles the working area of a common spring finger, while also increasing contact force by 0.2N. Also known as shield fingers or universal ground contacts, spring fingers can be used: for grounding between a device and a PCB; for shielding against vibration from motors, antennas, speakers and microphones; and as signal connectors for data transfer and stacking applications between primary and secondary PCBs.
