Acoustic Chemometer Enables Measurement of Corrosive Fluids in Process Industry

Acosense claims that its clamp-on Acospector acoustic chemometer product makes it possible for those working in the process industries to measure properties in fluids that are otherwise seen as difficult or impossible.

The Acospector is applied on the outside of the pipes, and installation can be made during full production and measure such properties as total solids, viscosity, density, concentration, particle size distribution, mass flow and flow. According to Acosense, the instrument can measure properties in fluids that are otherwise difficult or impossible to analyse, such as those that are corrosive, opaque, or have high viscosity or concentration.
