Micromech Appointed Distributor for Parker Origa Linear Drives

Following the recent acquisition of Origa by Parker, Micromech has been appointed the UK distributor for their entirely new generation of linear drives. This is Parker ORIGA's second generation of linear drives that gives design engineers ultimate flexibility. The well-known Origa cylinder is now a combined linear actuator, guidance and control package.

This is the foundation for the new and versatile Origa System Plus linear drive system of actuators and linear drives offering complete flexibility for design engineers. Their compact design that combines actuation, guidance and control, includes modular accessories and components, and high performance from foundry to cleanroom. The ODS (Origa Drive System) is a new series of electrical linear drives from Parker Origa Division Europe designed to be particularly user-friendly and flexible in terms of assembly and disassembly. In addition there are optional add-ons such as limit switches and buffers, travel measurement and braking systems and even centralised lubrication and optimised energy chain ‘entrainment’, which ensure that every application need is solved.

The ODS series linear drives have been developed for both screw (ball screw drive or trapezoidal screw drive) and belt and linear motor drive applications. This ensures there can be system support for applications requiring safe movement with large loads and forces, and also speed and precision positioning. Parker Hannifin is the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets.
