Palm-Sized Inkjet Printer is Cheap to Run

Euromark claims that the U2, a standalone, compact inkjet printer that it launched in the UK earlier this year, is making a huge impact within the ready meals sector. The U2 does not require expensive solvents or maintenance, making it suitable for businesses that do not want to invest in heavy-duty continuous inkjet printing systems. According to Euromark, the U2 has done well within the ready meals sector due to its value for money and ease of use.

It claims that food producers seem to be shifting towards clean thermal inkjet rather than continuous inkjet, which is often more costly and laborious. Based on a sophisticated 4-in-1 design, the U2 features a 2.8" colour LCD screen, a remote keypad, ink cartridge and print head all contained within a small hard-wearing enclosure, forming a complete standalone inkjet printer that can fit in the palm of a hand.

This compact printer has six height ranges and the ability to print text, graphics and barcodes on up to four different lines in superior print resolution of up to 300dpi. It runs various types of ink for numerous print substrates and identifies the type of ink used before automatically selecting the best printing parameters. The U2 also has a built in SD card slot, for easy software upgrades and data back-up that can store up to 999 messages.
