306-101 Highest Intensity 6mm Vibration Motor

Precision Microdrives has just launched the world's highest intensity output 6mm vibration motor. The 306-101 is the first of a new generation of parts which are now becoming introduced to the Pico Haptic™ range of miniature vibration motors. These motors are designed to offer higher performance haptic feedback and vibration tactile feedback in handheld and touch-screen based devices. The 306-101 6mm vibration motor is designed for applications and situations, for example in ruggedised instruments, where protective clothing might prevent the user or operator from feeling the vibration alert.

The 306-101 leaded vibration motor comes with AWG32 100mm leads and is designed to be integrated into circular mouldings within the application enclosure. The motor is part of a new generation of Ø6mm diameter x 10mm body motors, and it generates a significant 3.4G's (33.35 m/s² typical) of vibration intensity output at 11500 RPM (191 Hz). It is a high efficiency motor at 8 G/W output and the most powerful 6mm motor available on commercial sale. This makes it ideal for ruggedised haptic feedback implementations as well as miniature massaging applications.

The motor is rated at 3V DC and based on our standard Pico Haptic 3-pole coreless micro motor topology. Current draw is typically 140 mA, and the off-the-shelf part operates at temperatures from -10°C to +60°C, though these can be extended if required. This vibration motor like all those in our Pico Haptic™ range is quiet with a typical audible noise level of less than 40dBA. These vibration motors come in standard 6mm motor trays, and are available from stock in 1+ quantities.
