VITRONIC supplies 350 camera systems VICAMssi2
VITRONIC Machine Vision Limited announced that it was awarded a multi-million dollar contract by The United States Postal Service (USPS) for over 175 package sorter overhead camera (PSOC) system kits for use in mail processing facilities to support the Automated Parcel Bundle Sorter Program.
Under terms of the agreement, VITRONIC will supply the USPS with over 350 VICAMssi2 linear camera systems and custom mounting frames for use on a fleet of mail sorting equipment. This scanning solution will capture USPS tracking barcode data as mail is processed in the Postal Distribution Network. The VICAMssi2 is an advanced parcel information acquisition and analysis system designed for applications in the high-speed parcel, post, and material handling industries.
