Gas Sensor Chip for Industrial Applications

Rutronik has announced the GAS85XYB, a gas sensor chip from Micronas that is suitable for use in automotive and industrial applications. The gas sensor chip is based on Mysens technology. It is based on a standard CMOS technology and detects ammoniac and flammable gases such as hydrogen in the ambient atmosphere as well as measuring temperature and relative humidity.

The compact GAS85XYB chip combines sensor elements with standard electronic components such as amplifiers, logic circuits and digital interface. The platform concept of Mysens allows the chip to be adapted to different target gases. Applications can be found in the automotive industry as well as in fire detection, ventilation and air conditioning, industrial electronic and healthcare.
