E and H Launches Temperature Production Facility

Endress and Hauser (E and H) can now manufacture temperature sensors, thermowells, transmitters, recorders, flow computers, safety barriers and displays from its new facility in Greenwood, Indiana. The 12,000ft2 temperature production facility is intended to help the company meet the increase in demand for its temperature instrumentation in North America and South America.

Workers at the new plant will build virtually all the components needed for E and H temperature instrumentation. Every aspect of the manufacturing process, from the 100 per cent traceability on all components through to the high-voltage testing of every finished product, has been designed to deliver good-quality products in a short timeframe. The plant will also feature an NIST-traceable temperature calibration laboratory to ensure that all instruments leaving the factory are properly calibrated. The laboratory is undergoing accreditation for ISO17025, which is expected shortly.
