Campbell Collins Offers Waterproof Power Supplies
Campbell Collins has announced the release of a range of fully waterproof power supplies from MTM Power of Germany. The PM-IP67A series offers IP67-rated protection against dust, humidity, condensation and total liquid immersion for applications where an external housing such as a switching cabinet is not available to offer that level of protection. This could, for example, be on board vehicles, trains, heavy plant machinery or other mobile and/or static equipment that needs to operate in extreme environments.
The PM-IP67A series accepts universal inputs from 90-264V AC and 100-353V DC, making them suitable for worldwide applications as well as for high-voltage DC situations. The devices are now offered in power levels of 100, 75 and 50W to complement the already released 200W devices, and can deliver a range of voltages depending on power level, including 5, 12, 15, 24, 36 and 48V single outputs, and +/-12, +/-24, +/-48 and 12/24V dual outputs.
Certain models are offered with a Power Boost feature, which enables the power supply to deliver up to 150 per cent of its rated load for up to 4sec for applications requiring short-term bursts of additional power. Utilsing MTM's Thermoselective Vacuum Encapsulation process, the units offer protection in the toughest of environments and operate over a -25 to 70C temperature range. Short-circuit protection is included as standard, and the units are UL/cUL and VDE approved, and carry the CE mark for the EMC and LVD directives.
