Training to Cover Loop Tuning and Process Control
Process controls specialist Controlsoft has announced its training classes for spring and summer 2011, focusing on loop tuning and process control strategy for engineers and technicians. The classes cover basic terminology and building blocks of process control as well as fundamentals and advanced process control techniques using Controlsoft's fully automated control solutions. The training focuses on generic PID loop tuning and advanced strategy - the skills students learn will work with any control system.
Software is used to do simulation exercises during class, but the classes are not product training orientated. Professional engineers earn 7.5 continuing education credit hours per day. The spring/summer 2011 PID loop-tuning classes will take place on the following dates: 20 April, Denver, Colorado; 25 May, Baton Rouge, Los Angeles; 3 August, Rayleigh, North Carolina; and 7 September, Cleveland, Ohio.
The spring/summer 2011 process control strategy classes (two days) will be held on: 20-21 April, Denver, Colorado; 25-26 May, Baton Rouge, Los Angeles; 3-4 August, Rayleigh, North Carolina; and 7-8 September, Cleveland, Ohio. All classes are taught by instructors with many years of experience in the industry. Students will learn to solve process problems before they occur, improve production and quality, minimise downtime, and increase profitability.
