Metrohm Potentiostat for Electrochemical Research
Metrohm has introduced the 910 PSTAT Mini, a compact, PC-controlled potentiostat that is suitable for use in training and simple applications in research and development. The company said the potentiostat is intuitive and simple to use, implementing the main electrochemical measuring techniques, including cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DP), square wave voltammetry (SWV) and chronoamperometric detection (AD).
The 910 PSTAT is said to be economical as it uses cost-effective disposal sensors that can be used without any conditioning required. Each sensor contains the three electrodes required: the carbon, gold or platinum working electrode, a silver reference electrode; and a carbon auxiliary electrode on a ceramic substrate. The 910 PSTAT is suitable for demonstration experiments and practical courses in universities. It is also a suitable tool for users in electrochemical research and development for sensor development, the study of reaction kinetics and the reversibility of electrochemical reactions.
