High-Frame-Rate Cameras for Vision Applications
Baumer's new SXG cameras combine Quad Tap sensors from Kodak with Dual GigE technology for applications that require excellent image quality and high frame rates simultaneously. With the new interface technology, the images with resolutions from one to eight megapixels and frame rates of up to 120fps are transferred to the PC via standard GigE interface boards. With the capability of transferring at 240MByte/sec, the full potential of the Kodak Quad Tap sensors can be utilised.
With a transfer distance of 100m, the Dual GigE interface offers all the advantages of the standard GigE interface. Instead of a static link aggregation group (LAG), Baumer uses dynamic LAG to configure the Ethernet ports automatically, eliminating possible error sources right from the beginning. In addition, the redundant communication link of the Dual GigE system provides better transfer security, ensuring data transfer and reliable camera operation, even if one of the two Ethernet cables is disconnected. All cameras are supplied with power over Ethernet (POE) technology to eliminate a separate power cable.
