Educational Event to Focus on Sensing Technology
SICK, a manufacturer of sensors and sensing systems, is to host a free-to-attend educational technology day at Williams Formula 1 (F1) in Oxfordshire on 11 May. The event is intended to give delegates an insight into increasing profitability through sensor intelligence, improving logistics automation and achieving practical machine safety.
'The SICK technology day will give delegates a good working knowledge of not only the latest safety regulations but also how innovations in sensing technology can help to achieve compliance, enhance productivity and increase profitability,' said Seb Strutt, safety specialist at the company. The day includes a total of 18 lectures and practical workshops, covering everything from the latest Machinery Directive to the remote management of sensors and how to enhance Lean operations.
Each session will provide the opportunity to troubleshoot problems with a team of SICK specialists. Attendees can choose which sessions to attend to ensure the day is tailored to their individual needs. There will also be an opportunity to tour Sir Frank Williams' private F1 collection and try out the on-site F1 simulator.
