Circular Connectors for Use in Exposed Areas

Lane Electronics has introduced a range of multi-contact circular connectors manufactured by Weald Electronics that are suitable for use in exposed environments. The LMF range of connectors is available in a variety of shell styles and shell sizes and can be supplied with thermocouple contacts as an option. Other options include full 360C electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) screen termination.

As standard, LMF connectors are rated from 5A to 60A and can be supplied with one to 25 solder contacts for DC and low-frequency applications. The operating temperature range is from -40C to +85C. For lightweight use, LMF bulkhead connectors come housed in aluminium shells with fine thread couplings, while for more heavy-duty requirements they come in brass shells with a coarse thread. Both types are IP67 rated.

In addition, the connectors can be produced with a variety of plating options, including RoHS-compliant finishes and a clean-finish brass version commonly used in the nuclear, petrochemical and mining industry. Weald's connector ranges are only available from Lane Electronics. Lane can supply all key connector types, including circular, filtered, radio-frequency, coaxial and sub-miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test and measurement connectors, IDC connectors, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
