Vapour Degreasing With No Ozone Depletion
Lenium HFT, available from Stowlin Croftshaw, is suitable for the replacement of trichloroethylene (TCE) in vapour degreasing. The components of Lenium HFT have been accepted by the US EPA's Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) as an alternative to ozone-depleting substances. Lenium HFT forms part of Petroferm's Lenium range of vapour degreasing solvents. It is designed to remove difficult materials, including fluorinated fluids, greases, hydraulic oils and metalworking fluids.
It is suitable for use in vapour-degreasing equipment and in 'cold cleaning' applications. Lenium HFT is suitable for the replacement of trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene, methylene chloride, HCFC-225, HCFC-141b and n-propyl bromide (nPB). The blend is a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) cleaner with zero ozone-depletion potential. According to EC Regulation Number 842/2006 on Certain Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (F-Gas rules) in the EU, the GWP of this product is 55.
