Cages Provide Alternative To Fixed Storage Areas

Stakrak's new Stak-Secure Mobile range of security cages is intended to provide a practical alternative to fixed storage areas where work-in-progress or finished goods need storing. The cages enable goods to be securely stored and moved around to suit specific requirements. The mild steel cages are available with adjustable shelves in either a steel or plywood surface and can be supplied in a range of sizes and options.

For example, the 900 x 600 and 1200 x 600 options come with doors or extra shelves, providing a maximum storage capacity per bay of approximately 500kg with 100kg UDL per shelf. The cages are said to be easy to steer, with two fixed and two swivel castors as standard. However, for optimum manoeuvrability they can be specified with all swivel castors. They are available in a choice of colours (red, green and blue) to facilitate identification when used in designated specific areas of production.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
